The Art of the Table Between Past and Future explores the evolution of table setting and dining culture through the centuries within the historic spaces of Palazzo Reale in Milan. The exhibition unfolds through a scenographic journey composed of ten cinematic-inspired environments, where table setting, aesthetics, and storytelling become instruments for narrating eras, social rituals, and cultural transformations.

From the Baroque splendour of Vatel to the futuristic atmospheres of Ex Machina, the exhibition moves through different styles and imaginaries: the Rococo elegance of Marie Antoinette, the rigorous sophistication of Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky, the suspended whiteness of Death in Venice, the decadent luxury of The Leopard, and the Art Deco glamour of The Great Gatsby.
Each room interprets the table as a theatrical space and narrative device, where light, materials, colours, and composition engage in dialogue with cinematic language and the evolution of aesthetic taste. Scenography thus becomes an immersive experience, capable of connecting design, visual memory, and contemporary rituality.
Sophisticated settings and custom-designed details transform the historic halls of Palazzo Reale into an exceptional theatrical stage, where design, aesthetic research, and the culture of living shape an elegant and contemporary visual narrative.
