Fabric
2020
Relief emerges from the meeting of textile heritage and contemporary design research, reinterpreting the ancient gobelin tradition through a modern visual language. The fabric draws inspiration from one of the most refined weaving techniques in history, developed in the fifteenth century and celebrated for centuries for its technical complexity and exceptional craftsmanship. Its legacy is translated here into a new aesthetic and material dimension.
The design is developed through a sophisticated jacquard construction in which warp and weft interact to create a composition defined by depth and precision. The interplay of different yarns and tonal variations contributes to a three-dimensional effect that naturally emerges from the surface, transforming the fabric into a landscape of volumes, shadows, and perceptual nuances.
The composition unfolds through a rigorous geometric interplay of solids and voids, where textures, weave structures, and tonal gradations generate multiple layers and continuously evolving spatial relationships. The surface changes according to light conditions and viewing angles, revealing new details over time and enhancing the dynamic character of the design.

Designed for decorative and furnishing applications, Relief combines a strong tactile identity with refined graphic quality. Available in nine colorways, ranging from natural tones and rich gold accents to fiery hues, shades of blue, and gradients of grey and black, it retains its distinctive visual depth and contemporary character in every version.
